Operating Expenses

Gifts to the Friends of the Portage Zhang Senior Center go towards the Center’s operating expenses. The Center receives part of its funding from the City of Portage. Approximately half of the overall expenses are covered by membership dues, travel funds, and activity fees. Additional funds are raised through special fundraising events, grants, bequests, and memorial gifts. Gifts from the Friends donors support health and wellness, intergenerational, and volunteer programs as well as technology updates.
