Our Appeal

Dear Friends,

We are writing to ask for your financial support.

The Portage Senior Center (PSC) has been providing vital programming that improves physical and social aspects and promotes emotional and mental well-being for older adults in our community for more than 40 years. The older adults who visit the PSC connect with their peers, receive vital information and develop new friendships.

The mission of the PSC is to provide social opportunities, as well as recreational, fitness and educational programming for older adults. Through these unprecedented times, the center has continued to connect with older adults —virtually and in person. The PSC makes a significant impact on the lives of so many through the social and life enrichment provided for its members and guests.

Do you know that only a fraction of public tax dollars supports the operation of the Portage Senior Center? That is why fundraising and the support of our local donors is so critical. The Friends of the Portage Senior Center provides long-term financial support for PSC programs and operations and stands ready to assist, but we need your help. Would you consider making a financial gift and becoming a “Friend” of the Portage Senior Center?

There are many ways you can support the PSC. Today we are asking you to consider a tax-deductible financial gift. You can send in your gift using the enclosed envelope or make a secure online gift by visiting the Friends website at www.friendspsc.org.

Relationships with others give us a sense of belonging and connectedness. Thank you for considering a gift to support the Portage Senior Center. You can be proud of everything that the center continues to offer, especially as we look forward to moving into the new Portage Community Senior Center in May.

Sincerely,

Molly Williams
