Leigh Garrison, Administrative Support Coordinator (part-time):

Leigh started working with the board in the Spring of 2022 as the PT Administrative Support Coordinator for the Friends of the Portage Senior Center board. Her duties consist of being a liaison between the Friends board and the Portage Zhang Senior Center. She works helping the Board’s Fundraising teams organize and bring ideas and plans to fruition!

Prior to this position, she worked as a Health and Wellness Coach for 6 years, facilitating virtual Health and Wellness Groups with a company based out of Chicago, and taught Fitness Classes in many different formats/locations since 2012. Prior to these positions, she worked as a Data Analyst for several companies in the Kalamazoo area, as well as a Training Manager and Content Developer in the Software technologies industry. She and her family have spent the last 20+ years moving to and from Portage, as they followed her husband’s career at Stryker to both Tokyo, Japan and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

She and her husband, Scott, have 2 daughters, Maya is a student at Michigan State, and Hanna a student at Portage Northern. She and Scott have been married for 23 years. Leigh can be reached at fpscleigh@gmail.com with any questions on Board activities.
